Ferrari tuner Novitec Rosso has applied its high-performance touch to the Italian sports car maker’s polarizing all-wheel-drive FF hatchback, gracing it with 692hp and 527 lb-ft of torque. In addition to the performance modifications, the tuning firm made changes to the FF’s exterior, dressing up the shooting brake with plenty of carbon fiber.
The four-seater Ferrari normally pumps out 651 hp and 504 lb-ft of torque from its 6.3-liter V-12, but Novitec’s reprogramming of the ECU is good for a bump in output of 42 hp and 23 lb-ft. Novitec also raised the rev limit to 8200 rpm and increased top speed, currently claimed to be 208 mph by Ferrari, by 3 mph. In addition to the electronic tweaks, Novitec equips the FF with a custom stainless steel exhaust system, which is less restrictive and also as much as 35 pounds lighter than the factory unit.
But since a Novitec Rosso build wouldn’t be complete without a few cosmetic modifications, the tuner applied its signature carbon fiber aero pieces to the FF. The car gets a carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and both roof- and rear hatch-mounted spoilers. In addition, the front grille, side mirror accents, and taillight covers are also made out of the expensive composite material. For a more aggressive stance, Novitec offers lowering springs and an adjustable hydraulic suspension as well as a number of alloy wheel designs.
If the Novitec Stage 1 Ferrari FF kit making about 700 hp is too much for your tastes, two lower stages are offered. Then again, for those with a greater need for speed, the upcoming Ferrari F12 Berlinetta uses a version of the same V-12 with a claimed 211 mph top speed. But if you’ve already got a Ferrari FF and feel it’s too ordinary, Novitec may have a solution.
