Researchers have invented a mind-reading system that, for the first time in history, allows any person to type words and phrases letter by letter, just by thinking. It all occurs in real time, without moving a single muscle or uttering a single word.

GM wins top spots in Total Car Score index

General Motors landed six of the top 10 vehicles in Total Car Score's Top 10 Best American Cars of 2012 list. Five of the GM vehicles ranked in the top six, and the Cadillac SRX was ranked ninth.

2012 Ford Focus Will Have Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Battery Electric Models

Ford has announced that thanks to a $550 million investment in their Michigan Assembly Plant (which used to make gas guzzling SUVs, and now has a 0.5-megawatt solar system and electric trucks that carry parts around), they will be able to make 4 different versions of the Focus: the regular gasoline-powered one, a gas-electric hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and an all-electric version.

Triumph Motorcycles continues to expand its model lineup with the introduction of the Trophy. Based off the 1215cc Inline Triple powering the Tiger Explorer, the new Trophy features top-shelf touring amenities not seen on the British marque’s existing mounts. Triumph promises its new Trophy SE will arrive on dealer sales floors this January, with MSRP still to be determined.

Microsoft may be making own phone

Microsoft Corp is looking at making its own smartphone to kickstart sales of its Windows mobile software, according to a Wall Street analyst who has followed the company for many years.

The talk - unconfirmed by Microsoft - comes a day after the company unveiled its latest Windows Phone 8 software, and the same week it announced an own-brand tablet, signaling a break with 37 years of focusing on software and leaving hardware manufacturing to its partners.

2013 Husqvarnas

2013 Husqvarna TC250RHusqvarna took the wraps of its off-road, including dual sport and motocross, models for 2013. The BMW-own company says it will import 11 "re-vamped" models to the North American market in 2013.

There will again be four groups of models: Motocross (TC four-stroke, CR two-stroke and GP), Cross-Country (TXC), Two-Stroke Cross-Country (WR) and Dual Sport (TE). The four-stroke motors will again be based on two platforms - the BMW-designed big-bore 449 and 510cc  motors, and the Husqvarna-built smaller-bore 250 and 310cc motors. All of the two-stroke motors (CR/WR125, WR250 and WR300) are also pure Husky.
